Robert Pohl is the author, most recently, of "Urban Legends & Historic Lore of Washington, D.C." His previous books include "Wicked Capitol Hill" and "The History of 219 11th Street SE Washington DC," and he writes a regular column on local history for both the Hill Rag and The Hill Is Home. A tour guide and stay-at-home dad, Pohl volunteers at the DC Public Library's Southeast Neighborhood branch and at his son's school.
