Supporting Jesse Jackson for President
In 1984 Reverend Jesse Jackson ran for the Democratic Party's nomination for president. Rosa Parks praised his effort for "giving the depressed and deprived some hope." That spring she participated in several campaign events organized by the D.C. Women's Network. She also supported his second run in 1988. Jackson delivered the eulogy at Rosa Parks' funeral in Detroit on November 2, 2005. |
