In 1948 Rosa considered moving to Detroit. In this letter she writes about her job search, visiting her brother and cousins, and contacting the local NAACP. In 1949 she restarted the Montgomery NAACP Youth Council. She trained the young people to challenge segregation in the public library and organized spelling bees. She was busy preparing a major youth conference the week of her arrest. |
