Projected US deaths are made on https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america?view=cumulative-deaths&tab=trend . They stopped updating their projections for several weeks until February 6 and then stopped again so I'll stop looking at them. Their projections were clearly below actual levels. I'm showing a number of dates because I wanted to go back later and compare the actual numbers to the projections They were projecting on February 6 that COVID reported deaths would be 921,308 on March 1 and the figure was well over 950,000 by that date..

Reported deaths are the number of deaths officially reported as due to COVID-19.
Total deaths are the estimated number of deaths attributable to COVID-19, including unreported deaths.
