As we removed the last flags from Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg's In America: How could this happen... installation, I looked down to see that US deaths from COVID-19 continued to accelerate. JHU showed deaths at 275,256.
Even more scarily, projections from https://covid19.healthdata.org showed US deaths might reach 538,893 by April 1, 2021.
UPDATE NOTE: Those early projections were, unfortunately, optimistic. US deaths had already passed 553,000 by that date. |
