The propeller is from the towboat Indiana and is 87 inches in diameter and weighs 4700 pounds. The Indiana was built in 1930 by Charles Ward Engineering. She was 191 feet long, 40.6 feet wide and had a draft of 8 feet. Her turbine electric drives were rated at 2,000 HP. Her two water tube boilers were fueled by oil. The propeller was donated by American Commercial Barge Lines in 1995. |
