Craig Ruppert is the head of Ruppert Landscaping. For both of the In America installations, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg realized she wouldn't have enough volunteers to plant all of the flags she needed planted. She approached Ruppert, asking how much it would cost to have them plant the bulk of them. After explaining the project, Ruppert agreed to have his people do the installation gratis and brought in teams from all over the area to put them in. I asked him if he had received any hate mail for doing this and he said yes. Realistically, simply acknowledging that COVID was real ticked off a certain group of people. |
