A close-up of the Eisenhower addressing D-Day troops at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. The memorial was originally scheduled to open on May 8 but, because of COVID-19, it didn't open to the public until Friday, September 19, 2020. That turned out to be the same day that Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. Located between the National Air and Space Museum and the Department of Education, it's open 24/7 and the all-important public bathrooms are available from 10-6pm. Critics say it's easier to appreciate at night.
