Activist Dorie Ladner passed on March 11, 2024. She was part of most of the pivotal civil rights events of the 1960s including the Freedom Riders, Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Woolworth lunch counter sit-ins, the 1963 March on Washington, Medgar Evers (she had dinner with him hours before he was assassinated). She's seen here at President Lincoln's Cottage in 2017. I was the person who created her initial Wikipedia entry. |
