The first digital model, generated October 29, 2013, had too obvious a symmetry, the result of "flipping" the wheat image at the sculpture's centerline. Other initial thoughts were to lengthen the stalks to create a better impression of a field, to stretch the text across two-thirds of the sculpture's length, and to wide the frame. |
