The Utah Connection
In Utah, we don't live near the ocean, but we are part of the problem. Roughly eight million tons of plastic end up in the ocean each year -- about one billion times more than an elephant weights! Most ocean plastic makes its way to the ocean via freshwater streams and rivers. This exhibit illustrated how our choices are actions have a damaging effect on wildlife and ultimately humankind and beckons us to reduce our consumption of single-use plastics. |
