At Storer College in 1881, Frederick Douglass presented a powerful speech praising John Brown. Thus began a tradition of remembrances kept alive by Storer president Henry T. McDonald and others. In 1909, John Brown's Fort was rebuilt at the school and remained there on Camp Hill until 1968. |
