Alfred H. Mohler of the 21st Mississippi Infantry took this watch from a fallen Union artillery sergeant of Battery I, 5th US Artillery when the Mississippians overran the battery's position on July 2nd. The watch eventually landed in the hands of J. Frank Hume of the 21st Mississippi Infantry. |
