Cased Dissection Set, 1857
Dated "Jan 13 1857" and inscribed with his initials, Hamilton used this dissection set to perform minor surgical work. Though made for civilian use, Hamilton brought this set with him during his service with the 148th Pennsylvania Infantry. He may have used it while attending to General Barksdale on July 2nd. |
