The earliest telegraph ledger from the Gettysburg Railroad, with entries from 1866-1870. Prior to 1866, the telegraph was located at the home of the operator, not at the station.
This ledger, found in the attic and covered in pigeon dung, has been restored thanks in part to a generous gift from the Gettysburg Civil War Roundtable. |
