Pray tell, what dost thou do here, Folger Shakespeare Library?
Beginning in 2018, the Library's exterior facade will undergo conservation treatment. The building is open to the public during this critical restoration.
The soft Georgia marble used in the construction of the Folger Shakespeare Library 85 years ago must be restored now to remain safe and beautiful for future visitors. Scaffolding will move around the building in phases and the work is expected to be completed in 2019. Unfortunately, the Elizabethan Garden is closed during this time.
