Churchill was obviously stirred by Henry V's rousing speeches in Shakespeare's play. On St. Crispin's Day before the Battle of Agincourt, Henry encouraged his soldiers by promising that everyone who remembers this day will think of them, "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers."
