During the 1940s, the strengthening of Labor Rights and the consolidation of Union Rights took place after decades of Union activism.
As a result of the fight spearheaded by Eva Peron, in 1947 Argentina women won the right to vote. This year of 2013, youths (16+) will be able to vote for the first time.
Joining a group of a few pioneers in the world, Argentina is the first country in Latin America, to expand the right to marriage with its Equal Marriage Law.
Since 2009, a Universal Child Allowance is ensured as long as proof of vaccination and of school attendance is provided.
