Erickson, one of Canada's most decorated architects, designed private homes, public buildings, science facilities, art spaces, museums, urban centers and universities all around the world. Erickson was honoured with many awards over the course of his career, including: the Gold Medal of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Grande Medaille d'Or of the French Academie d'Architecture in 1984, and the Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects for 1986.
