Duke Ellington Native Plants

French-American, DC-based designer Eva Calonder created the artwork on the utility boxes here at Duke Ellington Park.
Inspired by native plantings in the park and surrounding neighborhood, Calonder created the black and white motif by sketching plants like blazing stars, atlantic camas, and Virginia wild rye.
This project was commissioned by the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District.
