Thomas Jefferson State Reception Room
The redesigning of the Thomas Jefferson State Reception Room from an austere marble and glass walled room into a magnificent American classical reception room was the inspiration of Ambassador Walter Annenberg in 1969. The architectural reconstruction of the room was completed in 1974 under the direction of Edward V. Jones, architect, and was made possible through the generous gift of the honorable Walter H. Annenberg and the honorable Leonore Annenberg.
