The renovation of this formerly plain, modern lounge to an Eighteenth Century-style room was made possible by the generous bequest of The Honorable Walter C. Thurston (1895-1953). During his distinguished career as an American Foreign Service Officer from 1918 to 1953. Mr. Thurston served his country as Ambassador to El Salvador, Bolivia, and Mexico. |
