The air mail staff at College Park in 1919 included many mechanics, couriers and helping hands of the Air Mail station. Paul Garber (bottom left) learned to fly at the field while a courier for the Air Mail Service. Later, he became the first curator of the Smithsonian Institution National Air Museum, now known as the National Air and Space Museum. |
