When Charlie Brown uses the nickname "Sweet Babboo," he embarrassingly explains it is a family expression. Jean Schulz, Charles Schulz's wife, used it as well and Schulz adopted his wife's nickname for him into the strip in 1977, just a few years after they were married in September 1973. |
