A beautiful spring day around the US Capitol. For some reason, seeing all the flowers made me wonder what the average age of Congress was. Until the 2018 midterm elections, the average age had been among the oldest in history -- 57 for Representatives and 61 for Senators. After the midterms, the average age dropped by like 10 years. In case you're curious, Donald Trump is 72 (he only acts like he's 9), Hillary Clinton is 71, Bernie Sanders is 77, and Joe Biden is 76. |
