Up on the First Terrace, which was added later.

First Terrace:
A large ceremonial building on the southwest corner burned around AD 1150. A small platform mound and new building were erected above this by the Mississippians, and rebuilt eight times over the following 10 years, creating the visible rise.
In the 1730s, French priests built a small chapel for Cahokia (Illini) Indians, who may have had a small village on this terrace. Several of the Cahokia were found buried near the chapel.
