Georgetown Car Barn
Built in 1895, the Car Barns sits at the entrance to DC at the Key Bridge. It was planned to serve as a union station and maintenance facility for several trolley lines and was the power station for a short-lived cable car system. The adjacent "Exorcist Stairs" are a favorite pilgrimage site for fans of the 1970 movie that was filmed there. Today, the car barn is owned by Georgetown University. |
