Brookside Gardens
Little Free Library
Take a book, leave a book, leave a note.
This library is for books about gardening.
You don't need a library card or to follow any formal checkout procedure. Select a book and enjoy it. Read it here and return it to the Little Library. You can return the book the next time you visit the Conservatory or replace it with another book about gardening. Feel free to donate extra books about gardening.
The very first Little Library was built in the memory of June A. Boll, a Wisconsin librarian and teacher. Today, Little Free Libraries can e found in at least 24 states. There are 300 to 400 in existence, including three Little Free Libraries here at Brookside Gardens, on the Woodland Walk (books about outdoor gardening) and in the Children's Garden (books for children).
