Trinity Church:
Trinity Church in Upper Marlborough was established in 1810 by Bishop Thomas John Claggett. The church was altered in 1846 and the bell tower was added in 1896.
The Church register book of Trinity Church was damaged by Gen. Ross' British soldiers in August of 1814 when several pages were torn from the book.
The clerk of the vestry, John Read Magruder, recorded the event.
