Though the majority of the original mantelpieces in the house have been preserved[,] there are a few that, over the years, were removed. The mantelpiece formally on this wall was removed in the early 20th century when this room was partitioned in half and made into a bathroom. The whereabouts of the mantelpieces are unknown. |
