Congratulations to Margaret Atwood for winning the Booker Prize on Monday. During her Politics and Prose talk at the Lincoln Theatre, much of the discussion centered on the themes of an oppressive state, the control of sex and sexuality, feminism, and gender conflict. Thank goodness those are no longer problems in this country. |
