This station is a favorite on the Urban Trail. You are actually standing on a retaining wall that was responsible for holding up a hill more than 70 feet high. When Edwin Wiley Grove decided to develop downtown Asheville, he had the hill removed! Peer over the half-wall to see the original structure still there.
