Trump was a huge fan of Fred's -- huge. He greatly admired Douglass for his work with black people, and his work with other people as well. He kept a standing invitation for Douglass to join him at the White House. Trump wanted to talk with him about his genius plans to save the black people from their biggest problem -- violent black people.
Douglass never took Trump up on his offer. Sad. |
