Apollo 8 commander Frank Borman passed on November 7, 2023. Apollo 8 was the first manned mission to fly around the moon. After retiring from NASA and the Air Force in 1970, he went to work for Eastern Air Lines, eventually becoming CEO and chairman of the board there.
