Description of Pictures: Join us at the Opening Reception for our new Art Exhibition, "Iron Cages"
Featuring Artwork by Incarcerated Artists
Join us on January 9th from 6:30-8:30pm
This January we are partnering with our friends at the Justice Arts Coalition, a national network providing resources for people creating art in and around the US carceral system, to exhibit works of art created by incarcerated artists which will be on display at Lincoln’s Cottage through January 31st. Through their work, these artists have found the space to heal, reconcile, and find a freedom of expression.
Our FREE opening reception will take place on January 9, 2020 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The event is free. Refreshments will be served, attendees will have the opportunity to see and discuss the art, and formerly incarcerated actors and artists will perform poetry written in prison.
If you can't join us on January 9th, you may visit the Cottage on weekdays in January (starting January 7th) for a self-guided tour of the exhibit.

Help? The Medium (Email) links are for screen viewing and emailing. You'll want bigger sizes for printing. [Click here for additional help]
Bigger photos? To save server space, the full-sized versions of these images have either not been loaded to the server or have been removed from the server. (Only some pages are loaded with full-sized images and those usually get removed after three months.)
I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

2020 photos: Well, that was a year, wasn't it? The COVID-19 pandemic cut off most events here in DC after March 11.
The child president's handling of the pandemic was a series of disastrous missteps and lies, encouraging his minions to not wear masks and dramatically increasing infections and deaths here. The BLM protests started in June, made all the worse by the child president's inability to have any empathy for anyone other than himself. Then of course he tried to steal the election in November. What a year!
Equipment this year: I continued to use my Fuji XS-1 cameras but, depending on the event, I also used a Nikon D7000.
The farthest distance I traveled after that was about 40 miles. I only visited sites in four states -- Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and DC. That was the least amount of travel I had done since 1995.
Number of photos taken this year: about 246,000, the fewest number of photos I had taken in any year since 2007.
