I went to Tenleytown to see them. The two jet teams fly by once together and then the Blue Angels flew by again on their own, somewhat farther away this time. That was it. I figured the flyby was mostly an attempt by the president to distract us from thinking about his screw-ups in the handling of the Covid-19 crisis. People also argued that most people, who were staying at home as recommended by the medical authorities, would never see the jets. Plus the money spent on the flyby would have been better spent actually helping the healthcare and first-responder workers -- buying PPE or providing bonuses to them.
It was interesting seeing people actually coming together to watch something again although it was disturbing that I didn't see many masks in the crowd.
