These picture books let your imagination soar: one book explores the events of a single day; the other follows the changing of the seasons and friends who find materials to build perfect forts in all of them.
Sarah Jacoby
Sarah Jacoby grew up wandering through the woods outside of Philadelphia. She has since traveled far and wide, earning an M.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of Art and a B.A. in English Literature from Haverford College along the way. She now draws for many people and places, including The New York Times. Her most recent work is “Forever and a Day.” Sarah’s illustrations have won awards from The Society of Illustrators (Gold Medal), American Illustration, Creative Quarterly and Communication Arts. Her paintings pair well with the poetic, the lyrical and the whimsical.
Megan Wagner Lloyd
Megan Wagner Lloyd is the author of “Finding Wild” and “Fort-Building Time,” as well as the upcoming picture books “Building Books,” “Paper Mice” and “The ABCs of Catching Zs.”
She lives with her family in the Washington, D.C., area.

I love well-behaved spiders! They are, in fact, how most people find my site. Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. Spiders ask for lots and lots of pages and chew up lots and lots of bandwidth which slows things down considerably for regular folk. To counter this, you'll see all the text on the page but the images are being suppressed. Also, some system options like merges are being blocked for you.
Note: Permission is NOT granted for spiders, robots, etc to use the site for AI-generation purposes. I'm sure you're thrilled by your ability to make revenue from my work but there's nothing in that for my human users or for me.
