Paul Goldberg
Paul Goldberg’s debut novel “The Yid” was published in 2016 to widespread acclaim and named a finalist for both the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature and the National Jewish Book Award’s Goldberg Prize for Debut Fiction. As a reporter, Paul has written two books about the Soviet human rights movement, and has co-authored (with Otis Brawley) the book “How We Do Harm,” an expose of the U.S. healthcare system. He is the editor and publisher of The Cancer Letter, a publication focused on the business and politics of cancer. His latest novel is “The Château.” He lives in Washington, D.C.
Jon Methven
Jon Methven is a novelist and essayist. His work has appeared in Timothy McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The New York Times, The Atlantic, New York Magazine, Buzzfeed, The Morning News, n+1 and The Awl. He is the author of three novels: “Therapy Mammals,” “Strange Boat” and “This Is Your Captain Speaking.” He lives in New York City with his wife and sons.
Stephen McCauley
Stephen McCauley is the author of seven novels, the most recent of which is “My Ex-Life.” His first novel, “The Object of My Affection,” was turned into a movie with a screenplay by Wendy Wasserstein, and starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. His fiction, reviews and articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Harper’s, Vogue and many other publications. He currently serves as director of Creative Writing at Brandeis University. In his spare time, he practices yoga, the ukulele and ironic detachment.
Katherine Heiny
Katherine Heiny is the author of “Standard Deviation” and “Single, Carefree, Mellow,” a collection of short stories. Her fiction has been published in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Ploughshares, Glimmer Train, and many other places. She lives in Bethesda, Md., with her husband and children.

I love well-behaved spiders! They are, in fact, how most people find my site. Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. Spiders ask for lots and lots of pages and chew up lots and lots of bandwidth which slows things down considerably for regular folk. To counter this, you'll see all the text on the page but the images are being suppressed. Also, some system options like merges are being blocked for you.
