Description of Pictures: What's special about a Special Counsel?
As Robert Mueller seems near to ending the controversial investigation into Russian interference in 2016’s presidential election and possible collusion by the Trump presidential campaign, the Freedom Forum Institute will convene an expert panel to examine the role of special prosecutors and independent counsel in the nation’s justice system, in some instances based on personal experience.
The program will be opened by Gene Policinski, president and chief operating officer of the Freedom Forum Institute.
Panel members (seated left to right)::
* Stuart E. Eizenstat, American diplomat and attorney, and author of the new book, “President Carter: The White House Years;"
* Jonathan Turley, legal scholar, writer, commentator and legal analyst with a distinguished career as a lawyer; the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at The George Washington University.
* Kenneth Starr, former federal judge and U.S. Solicitor General, independent counsel for the Whitewater investigation;
* Greta Van Susteren (moderator), former criminal defense and civil trial lawyer, broadcast journalist and host of legal and political affairs programs on Fox News and MSNBC.
The program is presented with support from APCO Worldwide, a global communications consultancy that helps organizations adapt and thrive in a fast-moving, interconnected and complex world. APCO is a majority employee- and women-owned business. For more information: www.apcoworldwide.com.

SPEC1_181215_688.JPG: Best known for heading the Whitewater investigation into the Clinton administration which led to Clinton being impeached in 1999 for lying about having sex with a White House intern, Ken Starr passed on September 13, 2022. Clinton was convicted of obstruction of justice to hide an affair. The later child president was convicted of obstruction for trying to block a probe into his soliciting Putin's help in undermining democracy here. You'd think that Starr would have considered Trump's offenses worse but, nope, he was actually on Trump's legal team, personal integrity never being a characteristic of a Trumpster.
