Description of Pictures: LEST WE FORGET Exhibition Opening on the National Mall
For the Days of Remembrance, German-Italian artist Luigi Toscano, in partnership with the German Embassy, and with the cooperation of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, is mounting a unique photographic installation along the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The exhibition features more than 120 oversized portraits of Holocaust survivors. Opening on April 10th at 3 pm, the exhibition will be on display through April 22nd.
At a public ceremony on April 10th at 3 pm, Luigi Toscano will formally introduce his photographic installation LEST WE FORGET on the footsteps of the Lincoln Memorial. Joining him will be German Ambassador Dr. Peter Wittig, Sara J. Bloomfield, Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and senior rabbi M. Bruce Lustig of the Washington Hebrew Congregation. Some of the Holocaust survivors who are portrayed in the exhibition will be present as well. A guided tour will be available with the artist after the event.

Washington, DC, will be the second city in the U.S. to host this exceptional exhibition. Earlier this year, LEST WE FORGET was shown in New York City, on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day at the UN headquarters, touching the hearts of many New Yorkers and visitors alike.

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.
