DC -- Rally: DALCA (Fix DACA, but mostly for Indian immigrants) @ U.S. Capitol:

Description of Pictures: Very pro-Trump group including GOP reps. One sign said RHC 58%: Clear GC Backlog in 5 Yrs. We will pay $25B for the Wall. It sounded a lot like screw the others who are here for health and safety reasons but please keep up here for economic ones.
This was an odd protest. This group is protesting an issue that they call "DALCA" -- Deferred Action for Legal Childhood Arrivals.
There's a pathway to citizenship for kids who come here illegally, but kids her come her legally are expected to go home at the age of 21.
When Congress was supposed to be debating DACA (and was supposed to decide by June 25, 2018), the Indian immigrant group wanted reconsideration of citizenship for legal immigrants from India.
Why India and no one else? Figures showed that 70% of EB (employment-based) visas were issued to Indian nationals. (I couldn't tell which of the EB ones were Indian-heavy like this. There are lots of different EB visas including the EB-5 ones which Jared Kushner was promoting, saying buy a Trump condo and you'll get an American visa because you spent $500K here.
I felt a bit odd listening to all of this. They're not looking for a fix-all solution to the immigration problem here, they just wanted something to protect their own group. But of course their group came legally so, justifiably, they should have some more rights than those who come illegally. What they ultimately want, of course, is US citizenship but the whole issue of chain migration comes up. Is this just an avenue to funnel in your entire family like Melania Trump did?

I love well-behaved spiders! They are, in fact, how most people find my site. Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. Spiders ask for lots and lots of pages and chew up lots and lots of bandwidth which slows things down considerably for regular folk. To counter this, you'll see all the text on the page but the images are being suppressed. Also, some system options like merges are being blocked for you.
Note: Permission is NOT granted for spiders, robots, etc to use the site for AI-generation purposes. I'm sure you're thrilled by your ability to make revenue from my work but there's nothing in that for my human users or for me.
If you are in fact human, please email me at email@example.com and I can check if your designation was made in error. Given your number of hits, that's unlikely but what the hell.
Specific picture descriptions: Photos above with "i" icons next to the bracketed sequence numbers (e.g. " ") are described as follows:

I'm a DALCA Kid
Legal Childhood Arrival
But I have to self-deport when I turn 21.
When fixing DACA, Don't Leave me Behind!

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.
