Imperial Guard Truncheon

Terran Empire Throwing Disc
These deadly weapons were favored in combat by Emperor Philippa Georgiou. Georgiou was extremely skilled with these spinning, multi-bladed weapons, which could be thrown with enough speed and accuracy to kill multiple opponents in a single, swift gesture. The throwing discs feature a dragon motif, multi-level blade design, and were designed and 3D printed in Toronto with a custom, weathered gold paint finish.

Emperor Georgiou's Imperial Sword & Scabbard
Emperor Philippa Georgiou's sword was both ceremonial and a deadly weapon she would not hesitate to use for combat or executions as the situation warranted. The beautiful and ornate sword features a polished aluminum blade with bronze castings for the pommel and crosspiece. The handle was made from carved wood with leather inset and bronze banding while the scabbard and belt were created from wood and leather.

Emperor Georgiou Undercover Attire
While working undercover on the Klingon homeworld, Terran emperor Philippa Georgiou attempted to dress down to better blend in to the Orion district on Qo'noS. Costume designer Gersha Phillips was striving for a "space pirate" look that would also allow the deposed emperor to retain a sinister regality. The costume features many different looks including leather pants, a three-quarter sleeve leather jacket with a built-in harness, and a holster from her Terran uniform. The ensemble was assembled by the Star Trek: Discovery costume department.

Terran Resistance Officer
Members of the Terran Resistance face harsh and unforgiving conditions as they attempt to elude the Empire, so their clothing is designed for utilitarian use. This uniform was worn by the willful Andorian, Shukar (Riley Gilchrist), a trusted lieutenant of The Fire Wolf (the leader of the resistance), later revealed to be the Klingon, Voq. Costume designer Gersha Phillips learned into Andorian costumes from Star Trek: Enterprise for a detailed look using sleeve cording and multiple bonded leathers to create alien textures. Elements were aged and distressed to create a look consistent with a resistance colony.

Mirror Universe Sarek
Sarek (James Frain) is known among the Terran-Resistance as "The Prophet," an oracle prized by the resistance for his mind-melding ability and behavioral insights. His traditional dress reflects the Vulcan culture and expresses his devotion to a way of life far different from that of the Empire. Sarek's costume features leather leggings, a textured leather tunic, and customized boots and spats, all distressed and aged to create the look of a dystopian resistance member. The costume was designed by Gersha Phillips and built by the Star Trek: Discovery costume department.

Terran Empire Regalia
In addition to the standard Empire insignia, Terran officer uniforms are marked by the use of various regalia pins denoting key achievements in one's career. The individual insignia are created from milled aluminum and laser cut plastic. Seen here are the achievement regalia for Master of Poisons, 50 kills, 100 kills, 150 kills, Bridge Crew, Badge of Victory, First Officer, and Mortal Wound Survivor.
Terran Empire Insignia
Terran Empire insignia badges from the Mirror Universe indicate command, operations, and science divisions just as in Starfleet. The gold, copper, and silver badges were made in Toronto by making wax models from 3D prints, then creating plaster molds for bronze to be poured into. The badges were then polished and plated by a jeweler to create the custom colors for Discovery.

The Hand Agonizer is a smaller version of the Empire's preferred punishment protocol, the agonizer booth. Hand agonizers are standard issue devices used for on-the-spot punishment and are extremely painful to their victims. The hand agonizers were first 3D printed, then molds were made to mass produce them and to create the translucent red finish.
