Description of Pictures: DC Mayoral Debate:
The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Greater Washington and Sixth & I invite all District residents to a debate with Washington D.C. mayoral candidates.
The 2010 Gray-Fenty debate held at Sixth & I was one of the best attended forums of that election season. Candidates for mayor will share their vision for the District, address social service programs, D.C. voting rights, and other topics ranging from education to economic development.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates.
Candidates who showed up: Mayor Vincent Gray; Council members: Muriel Bowser, Jack Evans, Vincent Orange and Tommy Wells; and Reta Jo Lewis and Andy Shallal

MAYOR1_140327_191.JPG: "Justice for Cecil!!!"
Medric "Cecil" Mills Jr., 77, (right) died after suffering a massive heart attack in a shopping center parking lot outside Washington, D. C. Mills' daughter Marie Mills said that herself along with several other people ran across the street to the firehouse across the street but the firefighters refused to help.
The head of Washington D.C.'s fire department broke his silence late Wednesday after an elderly man died last month when he suffered a heart attack in front of a fire house and nobody helped him.
Fire Chief Kenneth Ellerbe -- who personally knew victim Medric (Cecil) Mills, 77 -- said that the Lt. Kellene Davis will be disciplined, despite her attempts to slink away from the controversy by filing for retirement.

""There is nothing in our protocol that would prevent an employee from rendering aid to a person who needs [IT]," Ellerbe told NBC Washington. "Everyone who puts on the uniform takes an oath and is required to respond when called."

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

2014 photos: Equipment this year: I mostly used my Fuji XS-1 camera but, depending on the event, I also used a Nikon D7000.
Trips this year:
three Civil War Trust conferences (Winchester, VA, Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA),
Michigan to visit mom in the hospice before she died and then a return trip after she died, and
my 9th consecutive San Diego Comic-Con trip (including Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City, Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles).
Ego strokes: Paul Dickson used one of my photos as the author photo in his book "Aphorisms: Words Wrought by Writers".
Number of photos taken this year: just over 470,000.
