Description of Pictures: Special Event: The Washington Food Scene With Food Critic Tom Sietsema and Chef José Andrés
Internationally renowned chef José Andrés joins Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema to discuss the blossoming Washington food scene.
Andrés also will share his experiences as one of the country's foremost culinary masters. Sietsema will talk about the art of food criticism and explain what it takes to put together one of his restaurant reviews.
Named "Outstanding Chef" by the James Beard Foundation in 2011 and recognized by Time magazine on the "Time 100" list of most influential people in the world, Andrés is an internationally recognized culinary innovator, chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup and passionate advocate for food and hunger issues.
Sietsema, the award-winning food critic for The Washington Post, writes a dining column for the Post's Sunday magazine, restaurant previews for the Food section and the "Postcard From Tom" column for the Travel section. His work has appeared in GQ, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Travel & Leisure and other national publications.
The event was introduced by John Maynard, senior manager of exhibit progrmaming for the Newseum.
The discussion moderator was David Hagedorn, contributor to the Washington Post's Food section, dining columnist for DC Modern Luxury magazine and cookbook author.

Help? The Medium (Email) links are for screen viewing and emailing. You'll want bigger sizes for printing. [Click here for additional help]
Bigger photos? To save server space, the full-sized versions of these images have either not been loaded to the server or have been removed from the server. (Only some pages are loaded with full-sized images and those usually get removed after three months.)
I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

2014 photos: Equipment this year: I mostly used my Fuji XS-1 camera but, depending on the event, I also used a Nikon D7000.
Trips this year:
three Civil War Trust conferences (Winchester, VA, Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA),
Michigan to visit mom in the hospice before she died and then a return trip after she died, and
