Specific picture descriptions: Photos above with "i" icons next to the bracketed sequence numbers (e.g. "[1] ") are described as follows:
CEL_130105_118.JPG: "Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren't very new at all."
-- Abraham Lincoln
A Tower of Books:
In 1922, the New York Times wrote, "It is, perhaps, a fact that among modern Americans no one has had more books devoted to the multifarious phases of his career and personality than Abraham Lincoln."
Eighty years later, this is still true. There are over 15,000 books about Lincoln currently in print -- with more being written every day.
The last word about our 16th president will never be written, if only because each generation creates its own Lincoln.
What are the books made of?
How long did it take to build the tower?

The Lincoln Book Tower:
The new Ford's Theatre Center for Education and Leadership features a 34-foot tower of books about Abraham Lincoln, symbolizing that the last word about this great man will never be written.
Fast Facts:
• The books in our tower are made from fireproof bent aluminum. Our exhibit designers printed the cover art directly onto the metal book "jackets."
• The tower features 205 real titles, most of which are currently in print. The titles repeat throughout the tower, and the tower totals approximately 6,800 books.
• The design for the tower was completed in late 2010, so only books published before 2011 were included.
• Construction of the book tower took two weeks, and the designers glued each book in place by hand.

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.
