New York Times media reporter Brian Stelter talks about his coverage of the Internet and television and how he uses new media to guide his reporting and inform his readers.
Stelter’s appearance coincides with the opening of the Newseum’s HP New Media Gallery, which features five groundbreaking interactive experiences and two video presentations that illustrate the evolution and progression of global media.
Stelter, who joined The Times in 2007, was featured in the critically acclaimed 2011 documentary “Page One,” which chronicles a year in the life of The New York Times. He writes for the newspaper’s blog, Media Decoder, and is currently working on a book about the major morning television shows.
Stelter was the founder and editor of TVNewser, the pre-eminent blog about the television news industry. He sold TVNewser to Mediabistro in 2004.
