I love well-behaved spiders! They are, in fact, how most people find my site. Unfortunately, my network has a limited bandwidth and pictures take up bandwidth. Spiders ask for lots and lots of pages and chew up lots and lots of bandwidth which slows things down considerably for regular folk. To counter this, you'll see all the text on the page but the images are being suppressed. Also, some system options like merges are being blocked for you.
Note: Permission is NOT granted for spiders, robots, etc to use the site for AI-generation purposes. I'm sure you're thrilled by your ability to make revenue from my work but there's nothing in that for my human users or for me.

In Niger some 7,000 years ago, an artist carved a pair of giraffes into a rocky outcrop. Standing over 18 feet high, they are among the largest animal carvings known in Africa. In an effort to educate about the need to protect rock art carvings, the Bradshaw Foundation supported the preservation of the giraffes by cleaning and sealing the stone and making a mold reproducing every detail. Casts, including the aluminum one here, were then made for exhibition around the world.
David Coulson, chairman of the Trust for African Rock Art, with support from the National Geographic Society, has led a number of expeditions to search for prehistoric art across Africa. In 1997 Coulson and Jean Clottes of UNESCO's International Committee on Rock Art were led by Tuareg guides to the spot in Niger where this pair of giraffes was carved.
