Description of Pictures: WASHINGTON – The national Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (ALBC) will convene its final meeting on Monday, April 19, 2010, at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington. President Abraham Lincoln established the Department of Agriculture in 1862, calling it the “people’s department.”
The meeting agenda will include release of the Commission’s final report, which will catalog the Commission’s accomplishments leading up to and during the Bicentennial year, as well as discussion of the future of the ALBC Web site, progress on the expansion of the ALBC Foundation, and the return of federal funds to the U.S. Treasury.
The meeting is open to the public.
"I am pleased that the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission expects to return nearly $500,000 in unused funds to the United States Treasury," said U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), a co-chair of the ABLC. "Through creative partnerships and wise allocation of funds, we have produced first-rate programs throughout the nation and still managed to save taxpayers’ dollars at a time when we are all cutting back."
Commented co-chair Harold Holzer: "Since February 12, 2008, the Commission has organized, hosted, sponsored, and endorsed hundreds of programs throughout the nation to commemorate the 200th birthday of America's greatest president--to remember his work to preserve democracy and to extend freedom--and to use his example to inform and inspire us in the future. This extraordinary group of commissioners and staff is now prepared to reflect on its mission and its accomplishments as it sunsets, with great gratitude to the public for receiving its efforts enthusiastically."
The ALBC will cease operations permanently on April 30, 2010. The ALBC Foundation, a non-governmental organization, will continue working to promote President Lincoln’s legacy.

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

2010 photos: Equipment this year: I mostly used the Fuji S100fs until the third one broke and I started sending them back for repairs. Then I used either the Fuji S200EHX or the Nikon D90 until I got the S100fs ones repaired. At the end of the year I bought a Nikon D5000 but I returned it pretty quickly.
Trips this year:
Civil War Trust conferences (Lexington, KY and Nashville, TN), and
my 5th consecutive San Diego Comic-Con trip (including Los Angeles).
My office at the main Commerce Department building closed in October and I was shifted out to the Bureau of the Census in Suitland Maryland. It's good to have a job of course but that killed being able to see basically any cultural events during the day. There's basically nothing of interest that you can see around the Census building.
Number of photos taken this year: about 395,000..
