Description of Pictures: Inside Media: Freedom of Expression and the Power of Humor: Chris Bliss
Commentator and comedian Chris Bliss explores the nexus between humor and truth-telling in a fresh and entertaining look at how irony, satire and ridicule impact the national conversation and change our perceptions of the powerful.
In the tradition of American satire stretching from Mark Twain to Jon Stewart, Bliss delivers smart comedy for the information age.
An innovative variety artist who appeared in concert with superstars like Eric Clapton and the late Michael Jackson, Bliss's popular "Juggling Finale" video swept through the Internet in 2006 and 2007, making it one of the world's first viral sensations, with more than 80 million downloads.
Bliss's latest project is MyBillOfRights.org, the Bill of Rights Monument Project which recently received approval to begin fundraising for a Bill of Rights Plaza project in Austin, Texas. The project will create a long overdue national destination to celebrate the Bill of Rights, the single most powerful legal assertion of individual rights and liberties ever written.
The event was introduced by John Maynard, from the Newseum.

I still have them though. If you want me to email them to you, please send an email to guthrie.bruce@gmail.com
and I can email them to you, or, depending on the number of images, just repost the page again will the full-sized images.

2010 photos: Equipment this year: I mostly used the Fuji S100fs until the third one broke and I started sending them back for repairs. Then I used either the Fuji S200EHX or the Nikon D90 until I got the S100fs ones repaired. At the end of the year I bought a Nikon D5000 but I returned it pretty quickly.
Trips this year:
Civil War Trust conferences (Lexington, KY and Nashville, TN), and
my 5th consecutive San Diego Comic-Con trip (including Los Angeles).
My office at the main Commerce Department building closed in October and I was shifted out to the Bureau of the Census in Suitland Maryland. It's good to have a job of course but that killed being able to see basically any cultural events during the day. There's basically nothing of interest that you can see around the Census building.
Number of photos taken this year: about 395,000..
