Description of Pictures: The full lunar eclipse was a big event so I went out periodically to freeze my butt and take photos. It was a clear night until my neighbor brought out his new telescope in time for the eclipse going total, at which point it promptly clouded up and basically stayed that way.

Multi Column: Number of columns of thumbnails to appear per page (normally defaults to 3):
Bigger photos? To save space on the server and because the modern camera images are so large, photos larger than 640x480 have not been loaded on this page. If you need the bigger sizes of selected photos, email me and I can email them back to you or I can re-load this page temporarily with the bigger versions restored.
2003 photos: Equipment this year: I decided my Epson digital camera wasn't quite enough for what I wanted. Since I already had Compact Flash chips for it, I had to find another camera which used CF chips. That brought me to buy the Fujifilm S602 Zoom in March 2003. A great digital camera, I used it exclusively for an entire year.
Trips this year: Three-week trip this year out west, mostly in Utah.
Number of photos taken this year: 68,000.
